Ruffletts Hotel Wedding Photography – Catriona and Dan
Rufflets hotel Wedding Photography
Effortless elegance are words that spring to mind when I think of Rufflets hotel Wedding Photography. A 1924 turreted mansion set in beautiful woodlands and gardens, Rufflets Hotel really is a stunning wedding venue and the obvious choice for Catriona and Dan’s stylish wedding. On the day I got there early so I could take some shots of Catriona getting ready. After spending some time with her bridesmaids and getting her hair and make-up expertly done by Sophie Butler. Catriona made her way up to her parents’ room to get into her dress. There was a fantastic mirror in their room that I used to take some great shots of Catriona as she made her final preparations. I must at this point mention Catriona’s dress which was gorgeous and complimented by a stunning bouquet provided by Amy Annand Flowers.
I then headed into St Andrews to meet up with Dan and the boys at the university chapel St Salvators to get some shots of the grooms’ party before all the guests arrived. After a beautiful ceremony I took Catriona and Dan around the surroundings of the chapel for some portrait shots before heading back for the reception. Another reason why I love shooting Ruffletts Hotel Wedding Photography are their woodland gardens. There are pretty little bridges, quirky nooks and crannies that gave me a gorgeous backdrop to take great portrait shots of Catriona and Dan.
Afterwards the speeches I quickly took Catriona and Dan outside for a few minutes as the sun was setting to take some portraits of them in the neighbouring fields. The sky in these shots was amazing. Then we went back inside for the first dance and a live Ceilidh band who had everybody up and dancing.
In the evening Catriona, Dan and all their guests went outside to enjoy a spectacular firework display and I took my last shots. A perfect place to close the story of Catriona and Dan’s wedding day. Congratulations to Catriona and Dan for getting married and creating such a memorable day for yourselves, your family and your friends. I hope my images will enable you to relive it again and again for many years to come.
