Who am I?
I have been working as a photographer for fifteen years now, predominantly shooting weddings and portraits in beautiful Scotland though I also shoot weddings further afield.
I work from my studio, which is situated on our family farm in the middle of the North Fife countryside. It’s a beautiful spot and I shoot a lot of my pre wedding shoots here.
I love the outdoors and when I’m not working you will normally find me in the mountains. Hiking, skiing and climbing are all a big part of my life and I spend a lot of the winter over in the Alps popping back to Scotland to shoot weddings. I think this love of the mountains and outdoors shows in my work.
THE STUDIO AND FARM
I love my studio! Situated on my family farm in Fife, it is a cosy log cabin with views of breath-taking countryside. It’s a really beautiful spot, and despite having seen a lot of the world, remains my favourite place to be. I always feel inspired here which is useful as this is where I spend time working on your images and it is where I like to meet my clients. I have a wood burning stove (where Darcy my Labrador parks herself most of the day!) great coffee and lots of wedding albums for you to view.
Before coming to see me about your wedding you will have seen my photography and decided that it is a style that suits you. So the next stage is for us to meet (either virtually by Skype or in person at my studio). This is a chance for us to get to know each other a little and get comfortable in each other’s company before the day. This helps me to build a picture of the kind of people you are and how you would like your wedding to be shot. It is also a chance for me to answer any concerns or queries you have. You may have your wedding day planned out to the very last detail or you may still be playing around with different ideas. Remember, I have shot hundreds of weddings, so can offer you lots of tips and advice if there is anything you are undecided on.
Either way, let’s have a chat about what you have planned for your day and what your expectations are of your wedding photographs and photographer. I can promise you a warm welcome and Darcy just loves visitors!
