Wedding Photography
CONGRATULATIONS, you are engaged! Now all the planning starts…
You are probably feeling slightly overwhelmed with all the options out there so let me help. After 15 years in the Scottish wedding world I have plenty of experience in helping couples with their wedding photography. I have a whole host of tips to help the day go smoothly. My style on the day is very relaxed and laidback.
…I always say to my couples… “..its a wedding day not a photoshoot…”
It’s always important for me to get a chance to get to know you a little, to understand your tastes and exactly what you expect from your wedding photographer. You may have mapped everything out to the very last detail or you may be feeling overwhelmed and undecided. Either way, let’s talk, weddings are very personal and I want to tell the story of your day in a way that accurately reflects you as a couple. If you live a little too far away or you are overseas we can skype.
My style of wedding photography
It’s your day, and I want to photograph it naturally capturing all the important moments. My goal is to tell the story of your wedding day in as unobtrusive a manner as possible, photographing the special moments that you will treasure forever. To move around your wedding capturing those special moments as they occur whether it’s the look on a groom’s face when he first sees his bride, a joke shared between a bride and her father or children playing on the dancefloor. It is my job to shoot the wedding you experience, and to show you the little bits that you may have missed.
I will take stunning images that will take your breath away as they instantly transport you back to a specific moment from your wedding day. After all, these images will be treasured for the rest of your lives. Once the magic of the wedding is over, it will be the photographs of the day that you will turn to time and again to relive those moments.
I still love creating some beautiful portraits with you but make sure they are done quickly and make sure you are back to enjoy drinks with your guest.
Exquisite details
From the rings and bouquets to your table settings I make sure I take shots of all the details that you have included in your day.
Timeless portraits
While much of the day is shot in an unobtrusive way, I still love creating some gorgeous natural portraits of you together. I love the outdoors and incorporating our stunning Scottish scenery in your images.
Unscripted moments
My motto has always been that it’s a wedding day not a photoshoot. Strange I know being a photographer but I love capturing all the unposed parts of the day. The laughter of preps, the emotion of the wedding ceremony and the fun of the reception.
There will be group shots too that you’ll want and I’ll do those, I’ll do them quickly and naturally, and I will shoot you and your guests relaxed, happy and looking fabulous (no awkward line ups!)
Let me tell the story of your wedding day through beautiful timeless photographs.
ENGAGEMENT SHOOT
An engagement shoot is a great opportunity to get a bit more comfortable in front of the camera. Let’s face it, having a camera pointed at you is not the most comfortable thing for most of us (me included!) so meeting up for a relaxed shoot with me prior to the wedding is a chance for me to show you that it is possible to get relaxed portraits of you without stress.
PACKAGE OPTIONS
When it comes to their wedding photography, lots of clients may know what style of photographer they are after but are not sure what they want in their actual package initially. I try and keep things as simple as possible. I have a range of different packages and they feature the following:
CHOICE OF COVERAGE
Coverage is available from getting ready through to the evening reception. I have different options depending on what parts of the day are more important to you.
FILES OR ALBUM
All my package include a set of edited image from the day in BW & Colour. You can choose to have these presented either on USB or via your own personal download link. You can also choose to add a wedding album if you wish.
FACEBOOK PREVIEW POST
Within about 10 days of the wedding you get a taster post on Facebook. A great way to update your profile and cover photo. A little preview while you wait for the full set to be ready.
HIGHLIGHTS SLIDESHOW
All package include a highlights slideshow created from images from the day. A lovely overview of your wedding that you can share with family and friends.
VIEWING GALLERY
Your images will be uploaded to a password protected gallery for you to share with your guests and anyone that couldn’t make the wedding. They can purchase prints from this if they wish.
BESPOKE OPTIONS AVAILABLE
I realise that not all my packages will suit everyone so I am more than happy to create bespoke packages for people. Just let me know your requirements.
WEDDING ALBUMS
Once I have sent you your images you will be at a point to start thinking about how you want to present your wedding photographs. Perhaps you plan to take your images and create your own album and that’s fine. However, this can be very time consuming and my guess is that straight after your honeymoon you will be straight back to your busy lives. I recommend you let me design and create your album for you.
I have years of experience of design and a photographer’s eye for detail…

QUESTIONS?
HOW DO WE BOOK YOU?
When you book, a non refundable booking fee of £350 is required to secure your date. The balance (including any travel charges and and extended coverage) will be due 30 days before the wedding. I am unable to provisionally hold dates and have to operate on a “first come first served” basis. The first couple to send a completed booking form and booking fee secures the date
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE WEDDING?
While you are enjoying your honeymoon I will be working to produce a collection of stunning images. I photograph your wedding with the aim of showing the complete story of your day. I know you will be dying to see some images so I put a small selection up for you on my Facebook page so you can tag yourself and share with your family and friends. Your full gallery will be ready approximately 5-6 weeks after your wedding.
DO YOU TRAVEL?
Yes, I love to travel. I have photographed weddings all over the UK, and even further afield like Ireland, Switzerland and Thailand.
Let me know your plans and I can give you a price.
ONE PHOTOGRAPHER OR TWO?
I normally work on my own but some couples may wish to book a second photographer as an option. We can chat about this when we are planning the coverage of your day.
