Perthshire Wedding Photography – Steve and Gemma
The thing I love most about shooting Perthshire Wedding Photography are the amazing panoramic views of the countryside that provided the most stunning backdrop to Gemma and Steve’s traditional country wedding.
Gemma prepared at her mum and dad’s house, so I arrived early to take some shots of her as she got ready. Hair and make-up was done by Fiona O’Donnell and coupled with Gemma’s beautiful dress gave her a look of elegant and understated glamour.
Gemma and Steve chose pretty Caputh church for their ceremony. There has been a church on the site since the 9th century, the present one being a fine stone building. I caught up with Steve and his grooms party outside and took some shots of them around the church building. After the lovely ceremony the weather looked a little uncertain so Gemma, Steve and I decided to head off to The Hermitage to do portrait shots in this beautiful wooded glen complete with picturesque follies and attractive waterfalls. It really is a beautiful spot. We then made out way back to the reception, which was held in a field near Dunkeld to meet up with Gemma and Steve’s guests for reception drinks.
I love marquee weddings because it’s great to see what my clients have done with them. Gemma and Steve’s wedding marquee looked amazing. Gemma’s sister Michelle had made a lot of the favours giving the wedding a lovely vintage feel. After the wedding meal and speeches everybody spilled outside as it was a gorgeous evening. The evening entertainment was provided by band Cut the cake who had Gemma, Steve and all their guests up and dancing well into the evening. A lovely a couple and a gorgeous wedding set amidst the stunning Perthshire countryside.
Congratulations to Gemma and Steve for getting married. I hope my images will enable you to relive your day again and again for many years to come.
