Scottish Borders Wedding Photography – Kenny and Carolyn, Traquair House

It was my first time shooting at wedding at Traquair house and it was just stunning. Dating back to 1107, Traquair was originally a hunting lodge for the kings and queens of Scotland and is Scotland’s oldest inhabited house. Unfortunately, despite Kenny and Carolyn planning for a wedding outside in Cupid’s garden, the weather had other plans. Torrential rain and thunderstorms meant a quick change of plans to having the ceremony in the High Drawing Room.

Luckily the rain stopped just long enough for some quick couple shots outside before everyone headed into the diningroom for dinner. The dancing was back up in the High Drawing room and i left everyone enjoying the evening as the sun went down on a lovely evening…….

Here are a selection of images. Please feel free to leave a comment for Kenny and Carolyn below.
