Balfour Castle Wedding Photography

When Kathryn first contacted me from Australia about their wedding at Balfour Castle on Shapinsay, I had no idea what to expect having never been to The Orkney Islands before. Lets just say its the first time I have ever got a water taxi to and from a wedding venue before! Balfour castle sits on Shapinsay a short boat trip from Kirkwall. What a stunning spot! Kathryn and Daniel had chosen to have  humanist ceremony with a few of their close friends in the beautiful Orangery at the castle before a delicious meal in the dining room. Being July the sun had barely set as we returned to Kirkwall by boat at almost midnight.
