Kinkell Byre Wedding Photography – Jamie and Annie got married in February at the rustic Kinkell Byre, which is fantastic barn venue nr St Andrews in Fife. They chose Kinkell Byre, because it has so many options and they could totally personalise it. I love shooting weddings at Kinkell, because the grounds are so pretty and the staff is are always so great to work with.

Getting ready

Annie got ready Hawkswood House with her bridesmaid, The conservatory made for the perfect area for the hair and makeup with beautiful light.  It was then just a quick wander round the corner to where Jamie and the boys were getting ready. I loved the details on Jamie’s outfit from the custom made skull cufflinks and kilt pin to the matching lining on the waistcoat and jacket of his specially made kilt outfit.

The ceremony

We then headed over to Kinkell Byre for the wedding. The ceremony was in an area to the back of the byre which is decorated with the most fantastic canopy of lights. Sheila Lawtie, a humanist celebrant, conducted the ceremony which included a traditional hand-fast and readings from friends and family.

The reception

The reception was out in the main area of the Byre and where Street Food Putter Club served fantastic canapes  (along with mini golf) to the guest while I took Jamie and Annie for a walk round the grounds for a quick portrait session. Despite the cold we got some lovely shots. I do love a winter wedding as the light is just fantastic at this time of year.

Back inside to warm up and after spending some time chatting to their guests we headed through to the main area of the Byre for the meal and speeches. As always the byre looked stunning. The team from Blue Poppy Florist had decorated the tables with the most stunning white flowers and there were bottle of Rhubard favoured gin and sweets on the tables.

After the speeches everyone enjoyed the meal from Street Food Putter Club ……burgers! Always a winner with me!

It was then on to the dancing with music from Pork Pie Band.

A fun wedding at one of my favourite venue’s, I hope you enjoy the photos…..
