Cow Shed Crail Wedding Photography – Sarah and James

Cow Shed Crail Wedding Photography – I was so excited to shoot my first wedding at The Cow Shed, I have known Mike and Gill that own it for years and think they have created an amazingly versatile venue.

Bridal prep

One of the great things about having your wedding at the The Cow Shed is they have lots of holiday cottages on the farm and nearby Crail which are perfect for the bridal party to get ready in. I started off with the boys in Lairsgate, Kirkmay farm. How cool were James’s lego cufflinks! It was then down to see the girls down in Crail. James had a rather big surprise in store for Sarah as he had arranged a wonderful horse and carriage to take her from the Village up to the wedding. It was a bit of a challenge getting it under the lights and into the courtyard but with the help of the ushers and a few strategically placed brooms Sarah arrived at her wedding.

The ceremony

The humanist ceremony led by Iain Whitelaw was held in the Cow Shed Barn off the main steading Marquee. I loved colourful paper lantern backdrop that perfectly complemented the girls lovely spring flower bouquets.

The reception

As the guests enjoyed the spring sunshine out in the courtyard, James Sarah and I got into the horse and carriage and headed down to the harbour in Crail for some pictures. Despite the steep road and cobbles we made it down safely and the backdrop of Crail’s quaint harbour with its quirky pan-tiled roofs made some lovely pictures.

Back up at the Cow shed the team from Gourlays served a fantastic spread before everyone danced the night aways to music from Highway.

A fantastic day at a wonderful wedding venue…..
